 Study piece of Mechlin bobbin lace, probably early 18th century, with a background mesh of cinc trous or five-hole mesh. Stylized design is vaguely oriental.
About 9 inches long, 1 1/4 inch deep. Engrelure at the top not included in measurement; progagly was added later. Good condition.
