Pretty little lappets of Bedfordshire English bobbin lace. Would make lovely head dress pieces for a 19th century large doll.
Originally they should have been a single length - they have been cut apart. Some staining at the top of the lace suggests they might have been cut from another piece, such as a cap and lappet piece, or a damaged single lappet length.
Ends have very pretty detailing in the clothwork, and the tons of delicate picots make them especially attractive.
Size: Approximately 11 inches long, 1 3/4 inch at the widest.
